Group Training

I have been working, either one-on-one or in a group setting, with Feldman Performance for over 4 years. I first came to him to improve my running but after a few months I started to see that strength training had many more benefits than just running improvement. I am leaner. My body is strong. My confidence is improved. At 41 years old, I finally look like I have wanted my entire life. The stability work has improved my ability to live with an inner ear disease. The flexibility work allows me to feel years younger than I am and my overall fitness allows me to feel like I can take on any physical challenge. The added benefit is that my two kids see their mom as strong, fit, and healthy and they now want this for their own lives. We teach through action and I am teaching my children to be strong, healthy, and active.Chris Martin
   
I have never considered myself to be overweight just out of shape. I have been this way most of my life and have tried many different things to change that. I have tried programs, diets, and doing things on my own but I always get burnt out before any changes can take place. After talking with Dusty about Feldman Performance I knew by joining things were going to be different.  Dusty keeps routines different and constantly changing to make it difficult to get that burnt out feeling. Feldman Performance also offers Score Body Composition which gave me the knowledge and the ability to set goals for myself. Add that to the knowledge and passion that Dusty brings to the table and in 8 short weeks I was able to loss 17lbs of FAT and gain 9lbs of muscle. I am stronger than I have ever been in my life and love the new me, I cannot recommend Dusty or Feldman Performance enough! I have had the privilege of participating in Feldman Performance's group class for several years now. Being in a group setting is fun and motivating while others cheer you along to a personal record, yet I have never felt a loss of individual attention. The class is always evolving, and kicks my butt each time! I have also learned so much more from Dusty than just how to lift weights. He teaches that everything in the body is related, proper nutrition habits, and the meaning of a healthy body composition. By the time I was 49, I had participated in various sports and fitness activities. Weight lifting had been a part of my routine on and off since high school, but I rarely did free weights, nor did I try to lift heavy with fewer reps. I'd really recommend Feldman Performance – My strength and endurance are greatly improved to the point where I don't think I've been stronger even back in high school or college. I also like Dusty's ability to craft different exercises to accommodate any past mobility or strength issues or injuries you may have. I have been working with Feldman Performance for several months now and I am extremely pleased at the results I have obtained in this short time. In the past I never had to worry about what I ate and I didn’t take time to exercise because I was very comfortable with my size. But as the years have progressed that has all changed. Now that I’m “middle aged” everything has shifted. I decided to try Dusty’s class and I have been so happy with my progress. Taking the class with a few good friends really helps me be accountable for going. I am stronger than I have ever been in my life. I am doing things I never thought I could do. He is very patient about teaching us older gals how to do it right. I have yet to walk away from his class and feel like it’s just been a “normal” workout. After almost 9 months of classes, jeans are feeling tight around hams and buttocks; but loose around the waste and that is a great feeling! It should make my hunting season a lot more enjoyable this year especially dragging up to 250 lbs deer out of the timber.Evelio Villarreal

One On One Training

The best thing- and I mean THE BEST THING- I have ever done for myself, my fitness, my health and maybe even my attitude was to start training with Feldman Performance  I am now 84 pounds lighter, --yes you read that right—84 pounds,  and at  age 64,  I can do as many push-ups as I want (NOT  the girl kind),  dead lift over 200 pounds and push a sled with an ungodly amount of weight on it.  I LOVE IT!  Even though I was always very active, I was fat.  I was a charter member of Weight Watchers (1972 ish), lost and gained a million pounds , at least a million times, spent tons of money  and still was fat.  I read a lot about the biology of obesity and decided that being fat was just my biological fate.  Working with Dusty changed that.  He introduced me to a new approach to nutrition—one that shunned cutting calories and focused on diet quality instead (which, by the way, makes good biological sense).  He also convinced me that spending less time doing cardio and more time strength and conditioning was a superior way to build muscle and lose fat without sacrificing any cardiovascular effects that supposedly comes with hours on the treadmill.  Dusty reads everything and stays up on the cutting edge of new nutrition and fitness strategies.  He very thoughtfully designs work-outs that are individualized to your specific needs.  He pushes you to your maximum capability, but not beyond your limits.   And thankfully, he doesn’t let you get away with leaning on the shovel.  I initially contacted Dusty with the intent of spending one hour learning some new and less boring ways to exercise, ---that was 5 years ago.  Clearly I’m hooked.

In the last four months I got engaged, received a significant medical diagnosis, had a separated shoulder and needed someone to help me achieve my personal fitness goals in a quick time frame.  It was at this time that I talked with Dusty about my unique needs and condition.  He was very kind, listened, and extensively researched my medical condition, so that I had a tailored program that fit my individual needs.  He quickly understood my goals and continually provided knowledgeable advice and varied programs that had me on the path to success.  He used a holistic approach, incorporating flexibility, strength, posture, balance, endurance, along with promoting a healthy eating regime.  He is encouraging but yet pushes me to get results. He ensures I am doing the moves correctly, which is very important with my health concerns.  He constantly motivates me to achieve my potential and holds me accountable for reaching my goals.  The results in the last 4 months have been significant.  I have lost 22 lbs of fat, gained 6 lbs muscle, increased my endurance, boosted my confidence, have more energy, significantly reduced migraine headaches, and have less side effects from my medical condition. This is the best I have felt in many years.  I can’t thank Dusty enough for helping me to begin my life long journey of being healthy and encouraging me to meet and set new goals for my future.

I have hated my body for most of my life. When I grew to 5'7" by the sixth grade, started my period, and blossomed what seemed to be an impossibly large bottom, I felt betrayed by my own body. And yes, I know it's been said a million times and a million ways, but the media did not help. Every message I received from the outside world confirmed my hatred. I was not delicate, not skinny and therefore not beautiful. Because I felt betrayed by this body that was not conforming to the narrow standards I had set, I, in turn, betrayed my body. Cycles of under eating and overeating, and constant negative self-talk have been standard behaviors for most of my adolescence and young adulthood. I have hated my body for most of my life. Deciding to come to Feldman Performance after an ACL knee and an OCL ankle surgery 7 months apart has been a very rewarding decision.  Dusty is on top of his profession!  From our initial consultation where Dusty begins to develop a warm sense of care and vision for my needs, to pushing and motivating with guidance through each session, Dusty's knowledge and passion for training provides for a fun and results oriented training session.  My goal was to make it back on the basketball court so I can play with my son, Dusty made that happen, and I've never been stronger and more confident with my body.

Nutrition Coaching

Feldman Performance has helped me get back on track with my fitness and nutrition. I am in my mid twenties with a fitness background but had gotten way off track. Depressed, embarrassed, and ashamed at 170 pounds and 31% body fat, I asked Dustin for help. He was incredibly supportive, patient, and understanding. He looked at m physical weaknesses and developed a thoughtful program that helped me gain my strength back. I also participated in his nutrition program. After a short time I was noticing physical changes. At the end of the summer I felt and looked amazing and have kept it off! Today I am 147 pounds and a size 4.  I dropped 8% body fat, lost 16 pounds of fat, and gained 5 pounds of fat in 14 weeks! I have my confidence back and my fitness and nutrition back on track. Athletic Training

Feldman Performance has changed and corrected my thoughts on fitness and what it really means to be “healthy”. In my experience with Feldman Performance, I have noticed a great ability to adapt a workout plan to any injury or weakness. This last summer, while working out with Feldman Performance, I was able to add 30 pounds to my bench press, 60 pounds to my back squat, and 100 pounds to my deadlift. The workouts are designed to make you stronger, but the real gains come from the energetic atmosphere created in the gym. I definitely learned to pay more attention to my food intake, which made me notice first-hand how big of an effect nutrition has on a workout program. After working with Feldman Performance for several years, the biggest thing I’ve taken away is a confidence that started in the gym and has worked its way into every aspect of my life. Training with Dusty has definitely been a good experience for me. I've worked with him for a couple years now and I've seen improvements in many areas. My overall athleticism has increased and I feel like how we are trained gives us an advantage over other athletes. Program Design

I have been training with Dusty for about 2 years now. I went to him with the goal of simply wanting to gain a little weight, get stronger, and maybe be a little healthier, but it’s turned out to be so much more. In that time I have seen some amazing changes, I have added 21 lbs of muscle while losing 6 lbs of fat, bringing my percent of body fat from 16 down to 11! With the help of his programs, I have added about 200 lbs to my deadlift, 150 lbs to my squat, and 100 lbs to my bench press. Most importantly I used to suffer from a nagging lower back, and should pain, both of which no longer bother me! With what started out to be just a few workouts a week has really turned out to be a lifestyle change that has left me feeling better than ever. I really can’t thank Dusty enough, and I can’t wait to see what the next 2 years brings with Feldman Performance!Kevin Elder
